Add a counter so we know how much the movies we added would be great idea2 votes
You can now do that with version 1.5 of MOVIST. When you are on a list (let’s say your collection) tap on the highlighted icon (e.g. collection) to switch between 3 modes. Enjoy.
I love this app ! I don't know if it is correct to write it here - if not please delete. The problem that I encountered about a week ago - i entered the app and saw that there were many posters missing (Movist logo is there) but no posters. I have about the half of posters missing from my collection, and movies to watch. The search section does not show any posters at all. Is this only happening to me ? Should I re - install the app - I really don't want to because I'm afraid to loose my collection, either way its an amazing app. I hope that some day the posters would just come back :)

Please make sure you are running the latest version of MOVIST first. We’ve had to make an update to images t change provider as trakt.tv removed the images from their API.
If after the update you find images are still missing, please send a message to support (“contact support” on this page : https://linitix.uservoice.com). This here is the feedback forum for new ideas and stuff like that ;)
Wish list movies could be removed automatically from the wish list when they have been added to the main collection.0 votes
This should already be the case if you are performing the action from MOVIST itself. If the action is done via another app or trakt.tv, we cannot know we have to do it for sure.
IF it is not working like that, please open a support ticket for us to investigate.
Critical feature in discussions such as ... "I saw a very nice movie a few weeks ago, let me find back the name for you... "1 vote
You can already do that.
When you are on the seen list, pinch the list (like a zoom out on a map). You will have sorting and grouping options. Play with them, you should find something that suits your need. If not, do not hesitate to submit a new idea ;)
Is there an option to view movies by what we rated them? I know I can rate a movie and see what other movies I rated the same but is there a more streamlined approach to this? I might be asking too much here but that's just my opinion! I love looking back at what movies I thought were 10/10 and so forth!1 vote
You can already sort and group any list in your library by your own rating. You just need to make a pinch on a list to access the sorting and grouping menu.
Sorting by trakt rating is planned for next release.
It's essential to add the option "order by".. It's horrible to see movies not in the alphabetic order.
Please provide!1 vote
This is already available. You can order the movie lists and change grouping too. The sort by/group by menu is available by performing a pinch gesture on a list.
Lists showing the Top 100 of any genres. Rotten Tomatoes, has lists of "Top Box Office", "Top Horror", "Top Sci-Fi"..
I think it's a good idea import these lists to the application.1 vote
This is already available in MOVIST 1.11 (only available on iOS 9).
From the menu, you can choose to “browse” our lists (a lot of them comes from imdb, rotten tomates or are trakt lists curated by ourselves or other trakt users).
Movies that you have marked seen, that are unrated. Make an indicator.0 votes
You can already do that. Go to your seen list, pinch the list to have the list options screen, then choose to sort the list by rating, group the results and voilà. You’ll have a group named “Without rating”. Does it answer you need?
When movie not found the ability to add movie data to your lists (seen, watchlist, etc.)1 vote
Thanks a lot for this suggestion.
We are using trakt.tv as our database. And they are using tmdb as a database so you can go to trakt.tv and import a tmdb movie :
Make sure the movie exists on TMDB, then import it using the TMDB ID.
If the movie doesn’t exist on tmdb, you can insert it. https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/new
For us who see the same movies over and over again!1 vote
This is possible with the list options. The list option is available with a pinch gesture on any list.
It will be great if we could filter collection to see only unwatched movies.1 vote
This is possible with the list options. You can group your collection by seen and unseen movies. The list option is available with a pinch gesture on the collection.
Check this out ;)
I'd like to be able to find sequals/prequals when looking at movies and I think it's a much needed feature.8 votes
Different Sorting options like
Sorting based on user's choice
sorting based on the year in which the movie was released
You can find some sorting options in the settings under MOVIST 1.7.
The sorting mechanism will be improved in future versions with more options.
When a film is "x'ed" on the discovery feature it will not appear on it again unlike now when the same films appear each time1 vote
version 1.11.2 of MOVIST resolves this issue
How many movies are in your library or watch list? Why not a simple numeric indicator?1 vote
We added 3 modes for that :
The standard mode: showing list names under the list icons. This is the default mode.
The current list count mode: showing the movie count only under the current list.
The list count everywhere mode: showing the movie count under every list.
The mode can be changed by doing a simple tap on the currently highlighted list. It’s easy to change from the main interface itself.
Any way to remove marked items from trending movies in death? (for instance ones that have been added to watch list) so you can see more that are trending.
Majority of trending on mine have been the same ones for a while even though I've marked them. Would be good to find new movies easier through the app instead of going to imdb or actually on to the trait website.
Or make trending movies list bigger so it shows more trending but above would be better.4 votes
MOVIST 1.11 addresses this need with the Browse section.
The time it takes to actively search for a title once I've started typing is very slow. Sometimes it will start to search as soon as I start typing, sometimes it will take at least 10-20 seconds after I've finished typing for it to search.
Needs to be more consistent.1 vote
This issue is related to the trakt API, our data provider. We already opened the issue their side and they told us they are working on getting this better, faster.
Point is, it will get better with time…
When clicking on an actor/actress from a film it would be good to see what other films they have been in as well as the bio that is already demonstrated. This helps the user discover new films with the same leads and continue their journey through the movies.1 vote
This is already the case. When you look at the people detail, you can scroll down to see the bio and the associated movies for the actor/crew member. Available since version 1.6.
